In our shop we have over 13,000 square feet with 20 foot ceilings and over 10 hoists with up to 20 ton lifting capability. Turning operations can be accomplished in one of nine lathes ranging in size from 4' to 14' and swing up to 46", plus one Centroid controlled CNC lathe. Milling operations can be completed in one of seven mills from Bridgeport manual mills with power feed to a CNC Tree mill also controlled by Centroid. We have also recently added a Hurco CNC VM20 maching center. If a larger size is needed we can utilize our 6 axis horizontal boring mill with 84" of travel that is often used for larger engine blocks and heads. We also have on site an 8' planer that can be used as a mill. Available at our shop is a horizontal and vertical shaper for cutting specialty gears or just stock removal. We have a Clovel 6"x18" surface grinder, a universal tool and cutter grinder for sharpening or as another surface grinder. Also for grinding we use a 12"x36" cylindrical grinder and if a larger size is needed, the toolpost grinder can be attached to any lathe. For fabrication needs, we utilize our vertical and horizontal band saws, a 4' shear that can cut up to 5/8" thick material, a 42 ton iron worker to cut, notch and punch, and a 14" cold saw to cut various angles. The welding department has 3 MIG welders to fuse steel and stainless, a TIG welder to weld aluminum and other materials, and the use of a stick welder. For cutting we use an oxyacetylene torch and a plasma torch. We have a wide range of inspection tools from outside and inside micrometers to calipers and thread gauges. All are quality checked to insure accuracy.
